Obituary for Karen Irene Waters (Taylor)

Karen Irene (Taylor) Waters - In the company of her two favourite men, at her home in Grand Bend, Karen Waters peacefully passed on Tuesday, August 28, 2018.

Her husband William (Bill) Waters will miss the love of his life and his travelling companion forever. Karen’s children Roxanne Wonnacott of Petrolia, Stephanie Hamilton of Grand Bend, and Rodney Woods of Ladysmith, BC, both her favourite sons-in-law Nigel Wonnacott and John Hamilton and her favourite daughter-in-law Leisya Woods will miss her dearly. Bill’s children Kimberley Gal (Tom), David W. Waters, Kathleen Waters (John) all of London and Christyn Waters (Jeff) of Parkhill mourn her passing. Her grandchildren Bronwyn and Hannah Wonnacott, Ethan and Indra Hamilton, Keegan and Claire Woods, Jacob, Jordana and Zara Gal, Alexander Waters, Nicole Reschke and Jade Waters cherished their time with her and will hold her memory close in their hearts.

Karen’s siblings Eleaner Noon (David), Kathryn Carey (Brian), Brenda Taylor (Rod Lorimer) all of London and her brother Larry Taylor (Linda Michielsens-Bain) of Grand Bend will miss her good humour and so much more. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Karen was the third daughter of Carlyle Taylor (1956) and Nola (Wilson) Taylor (1993). Predeceased by her sister Loraine Engel (1995) and her brother-in-law Robert Engel (2009).

Karen was a teacher, librarian, wife, mother and friend and demonstrated grace, positivity, and courage every day of her life. She contributed to her community through numerous service clubs and associations.

A visitation will take place on Friday, August 31 from 9:30am-12:00pm at the North Middlesex Community Centre, 225 McLeod Street in Parkhill followed by a service at 12:00pm with Reverend Mark Isaac officiating. Interment to take place at the Parkhill Cemetery.
