Donald "Banker" Richardson passed away suddenly in his home on Sunday, November 24, 2019, in his 68th year.

Husband to Dianne Richardson (Ridley). Cherished father to Jennifer Richardson (Amos Drohan) and Jason Richardson (Loni Hugill). Beloved Papa to Datson, Aaliyah and Estella Richardson, Taylor and James Vanderburgh and Grand-dog Riley.

The dear brother to Barb (Richardson), Terry Probyn, uncle of Mike, David, and great uncle to Keirra. Don will be missed by many extended family members, friends and neighbours. Don is predeceased by his parents Charles and Jean (Aldrich) Richardson.

Don was a man of many trades and hobbies including his time on the Northville Fire Department. He was always there for friends and family whenever needed with no questions asked. Don dedicated his life to friends and family but the centre of his world was his grandchildren. He spent his time in arenas, soccer fields, football games, hanging out in the backyard or getting them off to school each morning. They truly were the loves of his life.

A visitation will take place on Sunday, December 1, 2019, at Gilpin Funeral Chapel, 123 King St. East in Forest from 12pm-1pm with a service following at 1pm with Rev. Dr. Christine O'Reilly officiating. A reception will follow at the Forest Legion where friends and family are welcomed to join together to share memories.

In honour of Don's love of his grandchildren and their selfless nature, donations are appreciated to the TLC Foundation. www.tlcfoundation.ca

A beautiful wedding day many years ago when our daughter was the flower girl for Diane and Don. We moved away but will always carry warm memories of the Richardson and Ridley families. RIP Don, you were a good man!

To the Richardson family. I'm so sorry to hear of cousin Donald's passing. I'll always cherish the fond memories we had as children at the cottage on Lake Erie and remembering the excitement o felt when I would see uncle Charlie's and aunt Jean's car pull into the driveway in Caledonia. It sounds like Donald had a full life and will be missed by all who knew him. My condolences go out to you. Robert Johnson.

Jenn, Amos, Jason, Loni, Dianne and family we are very saddened to hear of your dad’s (grandpa’s) passing. Over the last 18 years I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Banker. He was such a kind, happy man who I always enjoyed chatting with. He usually had me in stitches about something and when I’d walk away after our conversation I was either still laughing and always in a better mood. Many years later I finally found out his real name was Don. From what I learned from his beautiful daughter Jenn was he also liked to joke around with people. He had me worked right up saying he was going to buy the land behind our house so he could put cows there. COWS All I could say was you’re not serious and there is no way you’re putting cows there. I don’t want to smell and look at cows from my back yard. I honestly thought he was serious until Jenn asked me one day if I knew he was only kidding. He always had a wave and a smile when we passed each other on the road. Banker I will miss our little chats and it won’t be the same driving around the subdivision now. “I really hope you have all the fields, cows and any other animals you want now!” You truly will be missed by so many. Deepest Condolences to everyone and our thoughts are with you all during this difficult time. Hugs and kisses Joe and Jess Cook
