Barrie David Jackson of Parkhill passed away suddenly on Monday, December 2, 2019, at South Huron Hospital in Exeter.
Barrie was the best friend and husband of Linda for 18 years. Barrie's priority and focus in life was his family. Leaving a legacy in his children, Alessandro (Alyssa), Daniel (Karli), Johnathan (Emma), Matthew, David, Catherine, and one beautiful Granddaughter Cameryn.
Lovingly missed, Barrie was the middle child to Barrie Sr. and Lorna Jackson and grew up in Bellwood with his sisters Deanna and Jennine (Ray). Barrie will be missed by his Grandma Pearl, Uncle Brian (Donna), Sarka, and extended family, neighbours, and friends.
A man who took great pride in a good find at an auction, collecting anything and everything for practicality or at the wish of a friend. Barrie's beaming smile will always be remembered as he sat in his 2 door, 1968 442-Oldsmobile. He loved his vehicles with a wide range, even including the Volkswagon Beetle he brought home for his wife to drive to work. The fun of a new vehicle brought a smile only second to the love of travel that Barrie had, specifically to the Dominican Republic, a trek Barrie and Linda took twice a year among their other road trips.
Donations are appreciated in Barrie's memory to a Trust Fund set up in for his children - Jackson Trust - 546036, Main Street Credit Union or the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Family and friends are asked to remember Barrie at a visitation on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at 1pm, at M.Box & Son Funeral Home, 183 Broad Street in Parkhill.
Arrangements are entrusted to Gilpin Funeral Home, please leave a memory or condolence online at www.GilpinFuneralChapel.com
